Bridge Commercial Real Estate’s Jeff Shaw Among Atlanta Business Chronicle’s “Most Admired CEOs”

Bridge Investment Group’s (Bridge) commercial brokerage subsidiary Bridge Commercial Real Estate (BCRE) celebrates CEO Jeff Shaw’s selection as one of the Atlanta Business Chronicle’s “Most Admired CEOs” for 2022, one of the most prestigious awards in the Atlanta business community. The award is for CEOs who are established leaders with a strong record of innovation in their field, outstanding financial performance, a commitment to quality, a strong vision, a commitment to diversity in the workplace and contributions to the metro community. Shaw was honored in the “Commercial Real Estate” category at a ceremony on Aug. 18 at The Foundry at Puritan Mill in downtown Atlanta, Georgia.

Shaw is a senior managing director with Bridge and has led BCRE for six years, overseeing more than 250 employees directly with a leadership approach focusing on encouragement, positivity and growth. He is responsible for 12.9 million square feet of commercial office properties in key markets across 14 states, including over 2.2 million square feet in metro Atlanta. His resilience and dedication to creating a healthy work environment led to an increase in BCRE’s office lease signings in 2020 and 2021, the most challenging years of the pandemic, and a seamless transition back to in-person office operations.

Shaw’s visionary spirit and determination were also demonstrated in BCRE’s launch of Abridge, a new national tenant engagement and flexible-term office space program that has been implemented across six office properties in key markets such as Dallas, Miami, Minneapolis, Washington D.C. and Atlanta. Under his leadership, the company is continuing to evolve and advance its strategy around flex office solutions as well as investing strategically in properties to prepare for the next generation of work.

“I’m grateful to work alongside this incredible team that has cultivated a dynamic work culture making a positive impact not just on the national office market, but also on our surrounding community,” said Shaw. “I believe true leadership gives back in service to the community, company and employees, so this recognition from the Atlanta Business Chronicle is a great honor. I’m humbled to be among this year’s group of esteemed colleagues. When considering all the highlights and challenges my career has taken, there’s no question this would not have been possible without the countless friends, family members, colleagues and mentors who invested in me over the years.”

Shaw’s commendation from the Atlanta Business Chronicle is not his only great achievement from this year. In January, he was named the corporate council chair for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS), the world’s largest health agency dedicated to fighting blood cancer. Shaw has served in leadership roles for the society for the last four years, leading Bridge to becoming a national LLS partner with over $250,000 in donations raised in 2021 He was also recently appointed to serve on the Board of Directors for the Metro Atlanta Chamber of Commerce and is the vice president of the Atlanta Commercial Board of REALTORS.

“Jeff’s engaged leadership is the foundation of our culture at BCRE. His authentic dedication to charity endeavors inspires our team to actively connect with broader local communities,” said Kevin Lott, managing director, national leasing. “His leadership of LLS helped raise over $1.8 million nationally in 2021 for cancer research while encouraging other corporate leaders to invest alongside.”

Shaw has more than 25 years of experience in the commercial real estate sector. Before joining Bridge, he served as CEO and co-founder of Fairlead Commercial Real Estate and President of Jackson Oats Shaw Corporate Real Estate. He also held senior positions with Cushman and Wakefield and JLL. Shaw graduated from Hampden-Sydney College in Virginia.
